Over the years, Joan has teamed with several major film composers to produce
excellent sountracks. This is not a complete list of soundtracks but rather the ones
that I'd like to say something about. There are more soundtracks that I may add
information about in the future, but these are the primary ones as far as I can
discern.
-
Silent Running
-
Joan teamed with Peter Shickele and sings three songs:

This is available on Omega (founded by the original founders of Vanguard records,

The lyrics to "The Ballad of Saaco and Vanzetti" are based on the letters of
Bartolomea Vanzetti to his father.

This was one of the darker moments of US history. It is covered well at several
sites on the web:
-
To Kill A Priest
-
This was released for a very short time in the US on Gold Castle Records just as
they were going out of business. It was released in Europe on Virgin Records under
the name "Le Complot." It is that version that is referred to, below. It is on
Virgin CD 30639. It is considered very rare.
-
For this release, Joan teamed with Georges Delerue. There are only two cuts that
Joan wrote and sings on:
-
The lyrics speak of The Black Madonna. I was curious about that, so I searched the
web and found:
