Magnetic Media

Filed under: -general — Richard L. Hess @ 2:46 pm

Caution: Many items of magnetic media are fragile and becoming more so with age. Even a single playing may damage the recording further, making professional restoration more difficult and costly and may result in an inferior final product. Improper maintenance of the tape reproduction equipment may also degrade or damage the recording.

Magnetic Media can be divided into:

        Dictation Belts

        Disks

        Tape

Films (like tape, but sprocketed — listed with film)

        Wires
